Thunderstorm, Beach and Ocean Paintings by Arizona Artist Amy Whitehouse

Oil, 11" x 14" $500

This latest work was completed two days ago.

It's one of my favorites from this past year.

I used a very large brush to lay in the composition and

large areas of color, then refined it with a medium-sized brush.

The thickest areas of Brilliant White oil paint were applied

primarily with a palette knife.

The beach and ocean provide endless interpretations,

expressions, feelings, and art opportunities all-around.

Just back from a lovely vacation at Crescent Beach, Florida.

Naps, seafood, reading, walking on the gorgeous beach...

I relaxed and rested and hardly did any art.

to teach art this coming year.

Swaying in the ocean breeze, this colorful palm could be dancing.

Light is filtering through at noon, and the coconuts

grab all the attention.
