The Nature Conservancy protects the Hassayampa River located near Wickenburg, AZ. Yes, the desert surrounds this area and just beyond the trees are the Saguaros, but here in the river area birds, reptiles, insects and small mammals live in a garden oasis. What a treat to have and to paint.
