100+ degree weather makes me yearn for tropical climes all the more.

Can't think of a more ideal place than Hawaii.

This painting started as a monoprint,

painting with brush and palette knife followed,

and it just looked like Hawaii when I finished it.

I want to jump into the surf right about now.

"Waikoloa Beach", 4x6 watercolor

I'm in Hawaii right now, attending a conference with my husband.  Today I painted the local beach.  It was quite windy, with lots of windsurfers in the water with colorful sails-- I'll save that for another painting.  It was too windy to stay on the beach for very long.
