John the Baptist

JOHN THE BAPTIST
By Pat Stacy

JOHN THE BAPTIST
16" x 8"
Acrylic on Clayboard
This painting is not for sale. It was done in a class instructed
by Peter Pearson, Iconologist. It is an icon in the Russian
style, with many thin layers of acrylic. It was a great
experience, my first attempt at an icon. I have done 2 since
then, but I still like this one the best. A very different style
of painting, and one I recommend you try if you are at
all interested. http://www.patstacy.com/

Icon contemporary "Golden Graces" by Barbara Rudolph

"Golden Graces"

This mixed media oil painting is called "Golden Graces."  I call this series of paintings my "contemporary icons."  It is painted on gallery wrapped canvas size 30"x 24" and has a textured gold leafed border.  The image is painted in oil and includes raised mica gold accents.   This painting is available.  If you would like more information about this "icon" painting, you can contact me at:  br1fineart@cox.net
