The blackbirds fill the skies of northern Arizona in the summertime. At dusk, the birds take flight to return to their nests for the cool nights. This image is of such birds on their way home. The sky is ominous with luxurious colors reflected from the setting sun. The modified pointillism is painted with large rectangular dabs pf paint. This painting would be at home in a modern bedroom where preparing for night's rest is a concurrent theme.
