This painting was done for a friend of mine who

had an injury on her foot that kept her in a nursing

home while she received therapy---and recover she

did!! It was such fun to do something that would make

my friend smile. The flowers are imbedded in heavy

clear gel that give it the beautiful transparency and

depth. Not for sale, of course, but thought I would

Earlier this week I posted a small study of this painting, and I painted it again in a larger format.  I decided to omit the single cactus that was on the left side of my study, since it reminded me of a big pickle.
