Scorpions and Frogs by Jake Beckman
Scorpions and Frogs is an original acrylic
painting on watercolor paper. The paper has been coated on both sides with gesso
before the acrylic paint is applied. The work is 11 x 14 inches. The work
is matted with a off-white mat to 16x20 inches
and framed in a narrow black corporate frame.Scorpions and Frogs is by AZ representational abstract artist Jake Beckman. The predominant colors
are shades of gold, green and dark brown. The work is consisted
of a
Penrose sun made of scorpion tiles in dark brown and frog tiles in
green. Two tiles are vacant and a realistic scorpion is sitting on a
group of frog tiles. One is left to wonder
where the frog got off to.
