ET's Garden

ET's Garden is an original acrylic painting on watercolor paper. The paper has been coated on both sides with gesso before the acrylic paint is applied.  The work is 11 x 14 inches. The work is matted with a white mat to 16x20 inches and framed in a narrow black corporate frame. Cicada Song

Cicada Song is an original acrylic painting on watercolor paper. The paper has been coated on both sides with gesso before the acrylic paint is applied.  The work is 24 x 18 inches. The work is matted with a white mat to 28x22 inches and framed in a narrow black corporate frame.Cicada Song is by AZ Contemporary artist Jake Beckman.  The colors are evocative of the lazy sunny days of summer - drowsing under a tree listening the cicada song swirling in the trees. The predominant colors are red blending into pink and orange.  A swirl of yellow white stars burst sparkling across the work.

Big Bang Theory is an original acrylic painting on watercolor paper. The paper has been coated on both sides with gesso before the acrylic paint is applied.  The work is 11 x 14 inches. The work is matted with a off-white mat to 16x20 inches and framed in a narrow black corporate frame. Big Bang Theory is by AZ abstract artist Jake Beckman.  The predominant colors are shades of gold, green and dark brown punctuated by red.   The work is consisted of a green gold spiral overlaid with thick ropes of dark brown paint.  The eye is drawn to a glittering red beaded spot in the middle of the work.

Scorpions and Frogs is an original acrylic painting on watercolor paper. The paper has been coated on both sides with gesso before the acrylic paint is applied.  The work is 11 x 14 inches. The work is matted with a off-white mat to 16x20 inches and framed in a narrow black corporate frame.Scorpions and Frogs is by AZ representational abstract artist Jake Beckman.  The predominant colors are shades of gold, green and dark brown.   The work is consisted of a Penrose sun made of scorpion tiles in dark brown and frog tiles in green. Two tiles are vacant and a realistic scorpion is sitting on a group of frog tiles.  One is left to wonder where the frog got off to.

Echolalia

Echolalia by Jake Beckman

Echolalia is an original acrylic and resin painting on canvas board. The work is 8X10 inches and is mounted in an 8x10 inch white box frame.  Echolalia is by  AZ whimsical binary bird artist Jake Beckman. Echolalia is a condition where a person automatically repeats what they hear. A lot of social depends on other people to do this very thing, to retweet, to share; clearly the social media tribe has a massive case of Echolalia. In this work the background is an abstracted blue pattern, which is overlaid with layers of resin that read "hello" in binary.  The canary faces away from the view listening to the retweeted greeting. The colors are shades of blue and yellow.
